100 miles and 100 years from Tucson, Bisbee is nestled in the spectacular Mule Mountains. Founded in 1880, the town of 6,500 permanent residents was once a booming and rowdy copper mining camp that also boasted rich deposits of gold and silver. Not only was Bisbee the most cultured spot between New Orleans and San Francisco, it was also home to the famed red-light district still known as Brewery Gulch.
